Pause to refresh

My heart hasn’t been in this blogging thing for a few months, as evidenced by the dearth of posts in recent months.
And so with little fanfare, I take my leave. Don’t know whether I will return or not. Blogathon 2006 begins 0600 Pacific, July 29. I’ll know by then.

Gosh, that was fun!

Truly, I am looking forward to doing Blogathon 2006. The hardest part was getting started. As with all writing projects, I find it is the first sentence (or post) or just getting going that is the most challenging. I recall that as I went to sleep on Friday night, I lay in bed thinking about all the cool posts I would make the next day. The words flowed easily in my brain. I imagined writing effortlessly, having lots to say, being inspired right from the get go. In actuality, I was stumped a bit here and there.
That’s ok, though. Just like for a marathon or walkathon, I will train for next year’s event.
And isn’t it amazing how much money was raised for so many different charities?! The total is still climbing. When I last checked, it was over $57,000!
I heard from Howard at Salmon Nation. He says thanks and fantastic job. I’ve collected pledges totaling $80 so far. I hope to increase that in the next 24 hours. Pledging remains open until Tuesday evening. So, if you’ve been thinking about sponsoring me, you still can. Remember, register first, login with your new registration, and then pledge.
